Planning and Vision Implementation

The formulation of strategies and preparation of a business action plan to achieve the long-term vision for the AMA will be undertaken prior to 30 June 2017.

The medium term objectives have been identified in the 2016 – 2019 Vision Statement and provide a clear direction for the Associations.

A short term implementation plan has been prepared to identify the critical issues associated with the establishment of the business as follows:

Business Plan – Short Term     June 2016 to June 2017

A short term Business Plan has been prepared to address the immediate issues associated with the establishment of the business. This Business Plan provides the platform for the ongoing development of the Associations and initiates the work necessary to allow a more comprehensive long-term plan to be prepared.

The Critical Issues addressed in the plan include:

  • To develop business structure without losing focus and eroding profitability in the short term

  • To secure adequate funding

  • To implement effective management and reporting procedures

  • To restructure and expand our motorist and motorcyclist business in NSW and VIC

  • To develop businesses associated with motorist and motorcyclist services

  • To attack corporate marketing

  • To rationalize our systems – process, administration and IT to reduce costs and increase effectiveness

  • To maximize potential of existing client base

The short-term Business Plan will form the basis for the development of the 3 and 5 year plans.
