Most motorcyclists in Australia and around the world are road riders. They ride road bikes for work as it makes for easy parking, or for play as its a fun and exciting activity.

AMA road rides provide riders the opportunity to meet like minded individuals, improve their riding skills and knowledge and enjoy this great country of ours, both locally and further afield.

Road rides usually offer opportunites for all skill levels and normally take place over a day or weekend, but can last for multiple days. Riders can participate for one day or the entire duration and any surplus from any fees supports your road ride organiser with insurance cover and the purchase of equipment to ensure that organisers can continue to offer future rides.

Rides are usually organised to travel to a particular destination, which offers a host of experiences for riders and pillions. However a road ride's sole purpose is to experience Australia's landscape plus the fun and camaraderie that comes with road riding.

AMA Road rides are open to ALL Australian road riding enthusiasts, so you can guarantee you'll be welcome, while being surrounded by like minded motorcyclists who take the same pleasures from road riding that you do.

In order to participate in AMA road rides, riders must apply for an AMA Road Ride Membership.

Details of organised road rides and associated activities can be found in the Events Calendar.
