Growth across the motorcycle sport divisions of the Australian Motorcyclist Association (AMA), means the AMA needs national discipline coordinators to help steer each of the motorcycle sport divisions - trials, motocross, off road, dirt track and tar track.
The role of a national discipline coordinator is to:
Ideally a national discipline coordinator will already be working within the Australian motorcycle industry, ie. with a manufacturer, importer, dealer, accessory or associated retail business and will have the flexibility to perform some of the role during those normal working hours.
In return for providing such support to the AMA and the national discipline coordinator, the businesses will have the opportunity to have individual events and event series (local, regional, state and national) named after them, to be recognised as major supporter of the AMA division and the events and to participate in other areas for which the national discipline coordinator was responsible for.
The purpose of this initiative is to get the Australian motorcycle industry more involved in grassroots events, to provide more opportunities for young people, new and exisiting riders to get involved and to help grow motorcycling across the nation.
